Currently we only offer one tree format and this is a line of decscent tree – ie from the oldest person on tree and follow a line down to their most recent decendent.  This does not show ‘back-links’ from a spouse to their parents, and grand parents etc.  This is something we are considering developing for the future.

By default, the plugin tries to select the oldest person in your file but if you don’t have dates for everyone, this can confuse the plugin and lead to ‘odd’ trees being displayed with only some of your family members showing.  This is why you need to use the ‘Shortcode’ options to define a person who you want to be the start or ‘Root’ of your tree.
